Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the serene village of Cereceda, Posada El Molino De Cadalso is a hidden gem showcasing Spanish hospitality and charm. The hacienda-style hotel with an old water mill exudes warmth and welcomes guests with open arms. The owners, though language barriers existed, ensured our comfort and satisfaction, adding a personal touch to our stay. Our delightful room, complete with Velux windows and a bathroom on a mezzanine, provided a cozy sanctuary. The modern amenities like a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer blended seamlessly with the rustic charm of the property. Mornings were a delight, starting with a cup of coffee on our balcony, overlooking the picturesque mountains. The restaurant, a culinary haven, served fresh and delicious homegrown food. We indulged in a feast of Mediterranean dishes, with the highlight being the exquisite Turbot sourced from the farm associated with the hotel. The staff, friendly and accommodating, made dining a memorable experience.Exploring the surroundings was made easy with activities like cycling in and around Cereceda. For those seeking tranquility, the sun terrace and views of the mountains offered a perfect retreat. And for urban excursions, Laredo and Santoña were easily accessible, making our stay a perfect blend of relaxation and exploration. As an interior designer with a taste for contemporary aesthetics, Posada El Molino De Cadalso resonated with my love for architecture and design. The blend of traditional Spanish elements with modern comforts created a unique ambiance that left a lasting impression. A true haven for those seeking solace in the beauty of Spanish countryside, this hotel is a must-visit for a memorable and authentic experience.
